Intense ruby red with violet reflections. Delicate, fresh aromas of rose petals, red fruits, black cherry and subtle notes of tobacco. Intense taste of red fruits and good acidity. Full-bodied with balanced acidity and nice lingering flavors of dark red fruits including cherry, rose petal, and raspberry. Nice tannins, but not dry. Extremely accessible and versatile, the quality is unmatched. Pure and sophisticated drinking pleasure.

Known for his gorgeous Baroli, this Baby Barolo (Nebbiolo with less time in bottle than a Barolo) comes from two specific sites: one directly adjacent to the winery in La Morra; the other from Monforte, right next to the prized cru of Ginestra. The vines are 20 to 50 years old. This is an extreme bang for the buck from a producer making highly rated Baroli retailing for $100+.
