La Carrodilla "Canto De Luna" Red Wine 2023

Aromas of raspberry jam, tobacco, freshly cut red berries, refined wood, vanilla and blackberries. Dry, amicable, franc, acidity and tannins well-balanced, medium length.

The only red blend made from this certified organic estate, this vintage of Canto De Luna saw the inclusion of quite a bit more Syrah. Tempranillo takes the lead in what unfolds as a layered, generous symphony of perfectly ripened fruit with all of the spice required to give the wines lift and vivacity in the mouth. Since the wine never sees aging in oak barrels, you have all of the excellent character of the grapes on full display here, and the show is an impressive one.

The 2022 vintage was awarded Gold from the Mexico International Wine Competition.

Finca La Carrodilla is one of only two wineries in Mexico that has been certified organic and biodynamic and produced Mexico's first certified organic wine. The winery is located in the center of Valle de Guadalupe, 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, in Baja California.

The labels are commissioned pieces by Tijuana based female artist Foi Jimenez.
