Finca Suarez Paraje Altamira Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Finca Suarez Cabernet Sauvignon is pure and elegant, with notes of blackcurrant. Lovely vitality and energy jump from the glass and juicy tannins linger on the palate. The texture is firm, full of fruit and flower flavors, sharp tannins, and fresh, lively acidity. The herbal touches, which were barely apparent in the nose, are more evident on the palate. Simply stunning, under-rated wine that is verging on ethereal.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a single parcel - "Finca Perico" from Paraje Altamira in Mendoza, Argentina, at 1,100 meters. Alluvial soil rocky, with calcium carbonate, and the vines are 25+ years of age. Hand harvested, fermentation with indigenous yeasts for 21 days. 100% malolactic fermentation. Aged in concrete and used barrels until the next harvest. Bottles unfined and unfiltered.

Paraje Altamira is located in the heart of the alluvial cone of the Tunuyan River, at the foot of the Andes Mountains in the Uco Valley. Its calcareous and stony soils at 1100 meters above sea level allow for the production of fresh wines with character. Altamira is one of the places with the most history and wine culture in the Uco Valley.
