J&H Selbach "Funkelwürtz Zero" De-Alcoholized Sparkling Wine NV

This is revered Riesling producer Johannes Selbach’s answer to the dealcoholized wine category. "Funkelwürtz" translates to “Spicy Sparkler,” which is how Selbach says the wine tasted the first time he tried it. Slightly effervescent and aromatic, this N/A wine has bright flavors of lime, peach, green apple and flint. Crisp, refreshing and very easy to drink, while maintaining the complexity that Selbach wines are known for.

The blend is 80% Muskat and 20% Rivaner grapes grown in Mosel, Germany, on slate, loess, and loam soils. After gentle pressing, Selbach ferments the wine in stainless steel to around 30g/L of residual sugar, then sends the finished wine to a facility that uses membrane technology to remove the alcohol.
