Land of Saints Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Ripe and well rounded, on the fuller side of medium-bodied with great concentration. Dark berry fruit and hint of cassis and bay laurel. Not too earthy or spicy, just totally solid and very food friendly.

This delightfully fun, super approachable Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a single vineyard in the Happy Canyon AVA of Santa Ynez. Happy Canyon has come to be the primer viticultural area for growing Bordeaux and Rhone varieties, as it is markedly warmer than most of Santa Barbara, but still benefits from a longer growing season. Each site was harvested separately and vinified 100% destemmed. The two lots were then racked together one (new) moon before bottling, and joined by a pinch of Petit Verdot to bring violets and black pepper to the blend. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot.

A collaboration between Angela and Jason Osborne (A Tribute to Grace Wine Company), and Manuel Cuevas (C2 Cellars), who met during the 2013 vintage and have been discussing sunshine, moon signs and their Kiwi, Cornish & Mexican-American roots ever since.
