A deep and intriguing white wine, made from Rossese Bianco grapes in Langhe. Bright straw yellow with golden reflections. Initially somewhat restrained on the nose, blossom, vanilla, butter, melon, pear, cold smoke, beeswax and yellow peach, with hints of balsamic and cedar. Juicy on the palate with a delicate texture and notes of melon and peach, accompanied by harmonious acidity and a salty finish.

The grapes come from two single vineyards, located in the Castelletto MGA and in the Gramolere MGA, in Monforte d’Alba. The vineyard dates back to 1982 and a new implantation was made in 2011. With East-Northeast exposure, the soil is calcareous and sandy with layers of red clay. The steep slope of the hill only allows manual harvesting, which is done in late September or early October to ensure the perfect ripening of the grapes.

A short maceration with the skins before pressing, then the spontaneous fermentation starts and lasts for about 30 days. After the required aging in tonneaux, the wine is bottled during waning moon. A few thousand bottles of Langhe Rossese Bianco “Rosserto” are produced and sold about two years after the harvest. This white wine is rare and unique.

In 1925 Manzone Giovanni purchased "Ciabot del Preve" (the parish priest's house) and started making wine in Monforte d’Alba. Throughout the years, the Manzone family has purchased important vineyards on the historic hills of Castelletto and Gramolere, two of the best crus in Monforte d'Alba.

Eventually, Mauro and Mirella Manzone joined their father Giovanni in the management of the winery. Mauro and Mirella graduated from the famed Oenology School of Albaanzone Giovanni winery located in Monforte d’Alba, Piedmont.

The entire production is focused on high quality over quantity The vineyard's elevation reaches 350-500 metres (1,100-1600 feet). The extreme steepness and the great terroir foster naturally low-yielding vines which produce wines that are approachable while young, yet remain amongst the most concentrated and long-lived Piedmont wines.
