A very fresh cuvée of 70% Carignan and 30% Cinsault from a single plot of vines: La rompue du bas. The Cinsault, made up of large berries with very juicy flesh, gives the blend a lot of lightness: nose of red fruits, raspberry, dried fruits and white flowers. The Carignan brings a gentle freshness and a certain length in the mouth.

Both grape varieties vinified in whole bunches in two separate vats. The two grape varieties are blended as soon as alcoholic fermentation is complete. Aged four months in stainless steel vats. Light racking away from air to separate the wine from its lees very delicately. Unfiltered.

Born in Sète and raised in the Corbières, Mylène has now settled north of the port town of Sète, along the Mediterranean Sea. She started without any electricity, on a small patch of soft, chalky limestone that is completely untouched, and shares no neighbors (and so no runoff). Her estate is a small one. The vineyards are covered in a local herb, 'garrigue,' which impart an unmistakable savory flavor to her elegant, natural wines. She works biodynamically on a mere five hectares, where she grows a litany of different varieties like Tempranillo, Carignan, Cinsault, Syrah, Aubun, Chasselas, amongst others. These grapes are pristine, and Mylène fosters them into these incredible wines that are stuff of their dreams. There's nothing like listening to Mylène tell the story of her wines. It's a love story, through and through.

Coming from a family of winegrowers from Corbières, Mylène wasn't allowed to take the reins for her winemaking family due to gender discrimination. She nevertheless created her own vineyard on a small estate in Garrigues near the Mediterranean Sea. The Terroir is the ancient sea, white lands from crushed marine skeletons very rich in magnesium. Her passion and vision is all her own. These wines are her ideas. There are so many great wines out there, but the wines from Mylène has something we don't discuss enough in the natural wine community: a perspective, a human hand and heart that tells us a story about their beautiful place on the foothills of the Pyrenees.

From a very strong and wild natural landscape, each vineyard is surrounded by nature: euphorbia, holm oak, kermes oak, cottony cistus, cade juniper, thyme, rosemary, spike lavender, redoul, boxwood, tree heather, broom, pines, strawberry tree, honeysuckle, traveling madder, sarsaparilla. Everything has been done by hand and horse for five years. The wines express the grapes as naturally as possible.
