Tenuta Buon Tempo Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2023

This Rosso shows graceful aromas of red fruit, almonds, licorice, scorched earth, forest floor and roasted coffee bean. The palate is on its oak, delivering toast, vanilla, mocha, cooking spices and plumcake with a backbone of licorice and earth. Medium bodied, with a tinge of sweetness. Crisp acidity, velvety yet firm and grainy tannins in the finish. Suitable for every day drinking. Stands out for its freshness and juice. Dried raspberry and cherry. Enjoy with pizza and meat based dishes.

Buon Tempo embodies the result of an exciting encounter between a Swedish wine enthusiast and a fantastic terroir. This fortuitous union gives life to an estate that seeks to perpetuate the grand tradition of Montalcino wines by aiming for the highest possible quality. The Rosso di Montalcino, as the younger sibling in terms of aging years, does not shy away from its elder, the Brunello, in terms of quality. Although designed to express more primary and less evolving notes, they are pleasant and delicate.

Grapes farmed organically and harvested manually. Temperature-controlled vinification in stainless steel and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Two weeks’ maceration. Aging in concrete for about one year. Cleared naturally by settling in stainless steel, then left to rest for a minimum of four months in bottle before released onto the market.
