Two Shepherds Pinot Meunier 2022

The goat logo pays tribute to finding a lucky encounter the winemakers experienced when buying their goats, Chabi & Chou, which led them to discover the Pinot Meunier vineyard where they acquired the grapes for this wine. While common in sparkling (often used in Champagne), Meunier is rarely used as a still wine. The winemakers used their acclaimed light-handed approach to craft this wine of elegance and grace. A subtly layered, light bodied, complex and savory wine. Only 250 cases made.

Two Shepherds focuses on Rhône and rare, uncommon varieties, often from the only few acres available in California. While their total production is small, the offerings are vast. Nicknamed “insane master of small lots,” winemaker William Allen crafts abotu 15 different wines each vintage, including some that are only 1-2 barrels. Their old-world style, free from manipulation, allows for the ture expression of the variety, vintage and vineyard.
