Viña Nora "Peitan"New Albariño 2023

This Albariño offers lively aromas of citrus, green apple, lemon sorbet and passion fruit, with subtle floral notes, followed by a bright and zesty palate with flavors of toasted pineapple, grapefruit, jasmine and fennel. Its clean finish and balanced acidity make it an ideal companion for seafood or light pasta dishes. The 2023 vintage brings a vibrant expression of Albariño, showcasing the freshness and terroir of the coastal vineyard.

Viña Nora's location helps extract more of the Albariño variety's potential as well as capture the maximum expression of the land and its landscape in the wine. They do not rush this Albariño to market. Rather, they work the wine on the lees for several months, and do not use centrifuges to hasten the winemaking process.

The winemaker is Alexia Luca de Tena, who is one of several women winemakers in Rias Baixas being heralded by international critics and, perhaps more important, by domestic aficionados for creating innovative white wines as they break stereotypes. Viña Nora was born in 2002, and is perched on a natural terrace looking out on the Miño River.
