The 2023 Pax Syrah has serious game, with notes of crushed flowers, herbs, white pepper, gravelly earth and deeply pitched spice overtones weave through a core of dark Syrah fruit. Medium to full-bodied, it has good length and is showing well, with ripe tannins and a classic note of mouthwatering, mineral tones. A terrific mix of forward fruit and bright, salivating acids. Nothing less than a classic Syrah, this one punches well above its weight class. It's going to show its best over the next 5-7 years.
