Mac Forbes Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2021

This Chardonnay centers around generous fruit with a plush structure. The color is a pale lemon with a green tinge. The aromas are quite complex. Initial mineral notes of struck-match are overlain by creamy notes & butterscotch aromas, with green apple, lemon pith and white peach. Slightly salty. High acid, medium-light body, chalky phenolics. There is a rich creaminess to the mid-palate. Alcohol is well in balance. 

Mac Forbes has been making wine in the Yarra Valley since 2004. This Chardonnay is a blend of declassified barrels from grower vineyards and the Mac Forbes single vineyard sites which represent a snapshot from across the valley.
