Brooding black cherry and wild plum meet notes of anise, dried thyme and a whisper of smoky earth. The tannins are firm but refined, giving the wine grip without overwhelming its natural vibrancy. Medium to full body, Balanced acidity and a long, complex finish with earthy depth. Compared to the more austere Aglianicos of Taurasi, "I Vigneti di Bruma" leans into accessibility, with just enough polish to make it inviting in its youth.

Fattoria La Rivolta is a benchmark producer in Campania’s Benevento region, crafting organic wines that highlight the rugged beauty of southern Italy. "I Vigneti di Bruma" (vineyards of mist) is a pure expression of Aglianico, a grape known for its deep structure and aging potential. Sourced from high-altitude, fog-shrouded vineyards in Sannio, where volcanic soils and cooling mountain breezes shape the wine, this wine balances power with freshness--something not always easy with Aglianico.

Fattoria La Rivolta, a family-owned winery, traces its roots back to the early twentieth century when Giovanni and Teresa combined their strengths and acquired land in the Ciurica, Rivolta, and Roseto districts. Their efforts resulted in one of the largest and most productive farms in the province of Benevento.

Embracing a sustainable approach to viticulture, Fattoria La Rivolta has utilized biological methods since 1997, earning organic certification by ICEA. Situated in Torrecuso, in the province of Benevento, Fattoria La Rivolta's vineyards are nestled among the picturesque and mountainous landscapes of Campania's Taburno DOCG, one of the smallest in the region.

In 1997, Paolo Cotroneo launched Fattoria La Rivolta with his brother Mario, and as a third-generation farmer, he immediately began organically cultivating the vines, obtaining ICEA certification in 2001. A family affair involving two sisters and a cousin, the 29 hectares of cultivated vineyards on hilly, calcareous-clay land are hand-harvested to produce low yields without the use of chemical treatments. The estate focuses on Aglianico grapes, which were introduced by the Greeks and later adopted by the Aragonese during the Kingdom of Naples.

The brand's name embodies its deep cultural significance: Fattoria represents agriculture and tradition, while La Rivolta (The Revolution) honors the historical farmer uprisings against the Longobardi, symbolizing resilience and authenticity. They are dedicated to producing 100% organic wines, ensuring respect for nature, biodiversity and traditional farming methods that enhance the purity and quality of its wines.
