Aromas of ripe strawberry and cherry lead into a ripe yet fresh palate, with a vein of minerality adding structure to the soft tannins. A fresh core of crisp, red-berry flavors lead to a tart and tangy finish with notes of faded roses and brown-tea. Light-colored, high-toned yet juicy and plush.

Traslapiedra is an artisanal, low-intervention wine project based in Paraje Altamira, in Mendoza’s Uco Valley, founded by four friends -- including winemaker Juanfa Suarez of Finca Suarez -- to create "vinos de sed" (wines of thirst). Focused on high-altitude (1,000+ meters) "marine desert" terroir, they produce bright, juicy, and lean Malbec-dominant blends and Pinot Noir with notable minerality, designed to be served slightly chilled.
