Txampian Txakoli Blanco is a lively, pale straw-colored white with a gentle natural spritz and expressive aromas of citrus, white flowers and ripe peach. Fresh pear, lime and subtle almond notes unfold on the palate, balanced by bright acidity and a distinctive saline minerality that evokes the sea breeze along the Basque coast. Despite its crisp, refreshing character, the wine has a surprisingly full, almost creamy texture and a persistent finish. Delicious with seafood, sushi or simply enjoyed as an aperitif, it’s pure coastal refreshment in a bottle.

Made from 100% Hondarrabi Zuri, a native Basque grape, this Txakoli comes from vineyards in Zarautz within the Getariako Txakolina appellation, overlooking the Bay of Biscay. The cool, damp maritime climate helps preserve the grapes’ natural acidity and lively character. The growers practice integrated, environmentally conscious viticulture suited to the coastal conditions, including using sheep to manage vineyard grasses and fallen leaves naturally rather than relying on standard organic certification.

Txampian is a natural wine project produced in partnership with the fifth-generation Eizaguirre family, the sisters behind Talai Berri, whose family has deep roots in Basque winemaking. The name “Txampian,” pronounced “Champion,” pays tribute to Txampi and Bacco, the family’s beloved dogs that roam the vineyards, giving this vibrant regional wine a playful personality to match its character. Traditional, expressive and unmistakably coastal, it captures the spirit of the Basque Country in every sip.
