Folk Machine "Parts & Labor" Red Table Wine 2023

Aromas of red tangy fruits and raspberries, flavors of blueberry and licorice with an underlying spice. A medium-bodied wine that feels fun, easy and gulpable, with a crisp finish. Versatile.

This is the third vintage that Grenache has dominated the Parts & Labor blend, and the first with a new label. A blend of Grenache, Carignane and Castañon, all in Mendocino, and Syrah from Potter Valley. There is a good amount of whole cluster and carbonic maceration through the lots keeping everything fresh and fun. The blend was made immediately after harvest and the wine was aged in a combination of French oak foudres and stainless steel tanks.

Folk Machine is self-described as menace to the wine industry, a project of Kenny Likitprakong. He sought wines from California that offered more approachable drinking and lower alcohol than the powerhouses that once dominated the region.
