Fratelli Brovia "Vignavillej" Dolcetto d'Alba DOC 2022

The 2022 Dolcetto d'Alba Vignavillej is a serious wine. Dense, powerful and packed to the core, it exudes textural intensity. Black cherry, plum, licorice, menthol, cloves and chocolate are all dialed up to the maximum. Most of this fruit is from Brea, and that comes through in the wine's dense, virile personality. A large-scaled, seriously beautiful Dolcetto.

A traditional Dolcetto that emphasizes well the characteristics of a wine obtained from a careful and powerful vinification. The color is ruby with violet reflections. The scent is intensive and lengthy with fresh fruit aromas and an accentuated presence of wild cherry. The taste is harmonious and the wine is well-structured with an agreeable combination of right acidity and typical bitterness in the finish.

Grown on clay and limestone in the Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga areas of Alba, in the estate's parcels in the Brea vineyard in Serralunga. This is the part of Brea where the slopes make a bend, leading into Gianetto. Hand harvested, fermented and raised in all stainless steel, "Vignevillej" is always a charming, seamless wine with beautiful black plum notes intertwined with violet overtones. A rich wine with lots of nervy acidity.
