Lightsome Aglianico 2023

Aglianico from the Texas Hill Country AVA, half of it whole-cluster and showing how well Italian varieties do in Central Texas. Notes of cherry are balanced by an earthy, slightly rustic, woodsy note. Could even receive a slight chill if the weather permits.

Lightsome Wines is a label focused on the production of thoughtful wines made with fruit sourced from vineyards in the Texas Hill Country and Texas High Plains. Lightsome is dedicated to making wines that are expressive of vineyard sites and vintage. The wines reflect a low-intervention approach in the winery, and speak of the fruit that built them.
