Southold Farm & Cellars "Don't Forget to Soar" White Blend 2022

This pretty white blend is textural, with apple, pear and a pinch of honeysuckle and a dash of salinity. Rasied in concrete, it's juicy, straightforward and honest. Chill it, just don't get it Coors Light cold. Melon, green apple and honeysuckle on the nose. Don't overthink this wine, it is meant to be thoroughly enjoyed outside with a huge picnic spread. Drink it chilled on a hot November day or pair it with... anything.

32% Piquepoul Blanc, 31% Grüner Veltliner, 20% Roussanne, 17% Trebbiano. Organically farmed vineyards on iron rich sandy loam soils at 3000 foot elevation, the varietal components of this blend were picked and fermented separately, then blended prior to bottling. The Trebbiano and Picpoul Blanc were both fermented in stainless steel while the Grüner was fermented in concrete. All components went through full malolactic fermentation. This wine was fermented by native yeast bacteria and bottled unfiltered.

744 cases produced. No more of this wine will be made, as the winemakers closed their winery in Fredericksburg last year and moved to Bourdeaux, France. Get it while it lasts!
