A Roussillon red that's both straightforward and incredibly easy to drink. The old vines, organically grown on black schist, produce a wine that seems approachable but hides a true precision. The nose opens with fresh black fruit, thyme, pepper and a hint of black olive. On the crisp, salivating palate, the wine is supple and fluid, without excessive alcohol or oak, supported by ripe fruit and powdery tannins. A free-spirited southern red with notes of black fruits, sweet spices and astonishing freshness.

Olivier Pithon has a deeply rooted history in the world of wine, having been introduced to it from an early age thanks to his grandfather, a winegrower in Anjou. This passion intensified after a childhood spent in the cellar of his his older brother, the talented Loire winemaker Jo Pithon. At the age of 14, he began working in his brother's vineyards, developing an early sensitivity to vines and wine. At 18, Olivier left home to further his wine training in Bordeaux, and continued in Jurançon and Beaujolais.

In 2001, Pithon found an ideal location to make wine from his own vines in Calce, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, with soils of marl, schist and limestone. From the beginning, he embraced organic farming, and eventually biodynamics, under the leadership of biodynamic advisor Jacques Mell. Pithon also strives to preserve the biodiversity of the vineyard. Olivier has animals on the estate, maintains beehives, plants trees and sows plant cover in the vineyards. This global approach to agriculture is at the heart of his philosophy, contributing to the creation of sensitive, fair and environmentally friendly wines.
