Alta Marfa "Oui Chef" Chenin Blanc 2022

100% Chenin Blanc. This oxidative white is complex and haunting with refreshing acidity and notes of caramel, toasted nuts, lemon curd and pinon pine.

Grapes from Forbidden Desert Vineyard in Engle, NM. Machine-harvested. Destemmed, crushed and then pressed. Fermented in polyethylene cube. Aged in stainless steel barrel for 18 months. Completed malolactic fermentation. Added 38ppm total of SO2. 70 cases produced.

Alta Marfa is a small winery in Marfa, Texas, making unique wines with grapes grown by wonderful farmers in Texas and New Mexico, as well as the winery's own grapes grown in the Texas Davis Mountains AVA.
