A tribute to the winemaker's grandfather, "Petit Pierre" is a blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 10% Cinsault grown in chalky clay on young vines from north of the village of Courthézon. Fresh, juicy and lively, this wine is brimming with fruity deliciousness.
Grapes manually harvested and sorted, 100% destemmed and fermented in concrete tank for five months with no sulfites added. Certified organic.
Domaine Galévan, in the Beautiful Rhône Valley Region, is run by Coralie, who is the first woman to run the family wine business for nine generations. Coralie takes inspiration from the work of her parents, Pierrette and Jean-Pierre, and her ancestors, Jean-Francois and Eloi. The estate works with a combination of modern innovative techniques and traditional methods and values. The name of the winery symbolizes the balance of creative freedom with winemaking traditions, consistency, challenge and the quality of the wines. Coralie Goumarre is a hard-working woman who likes to create wines with elegance and femininity.
The domain spreads around an area of 60 hectares, of which 56 are vines. All of the work in the vineyards is done using organic agricultural techniques. The use of natural and sustainable farming methods helps to maintain the ecological balance and preserve the health of their vineyards for future use. The vines are almost 50 years old, and the yield of grapes is low but of very high quality. Some of the best Rhône grape varieties are grown in these vineyards, and the wines are available in the protected Designations of Origin, namely, Chateauneuf du Pape, Côtes du Rhône Villages and Côtes du Rhône.
