Bright, juicy and effortlessly drinkable, Motor América is a lively red wine bursting with ripe raspberry, wild cherry and fresh berry flavors. Made from 100% Callet, an indigenous grape variety of Mallorca, Motor América reflects the island’s distinctive Mediterranean terroir. The manually harvested grapes are organically grown by small farmers, and the wine is fermented using native yeasts and carbonic maceration to preserve its bright, juicy fruit character. Made without added sulfur and aged briefly in clay amphorae, it’s an unpretentious, fruit-forward expression of the grape that’s all about freshness and drinkability.

Founded in 2006 by winemaker Francesc Grimalt and his partner, musician and Sónar music festival director Sergio Caballero, 4 Kilos began as a garagiste-style project, with the first vintage fermented in milk refrigeration tanks on a sheep farm. Today, the winery continues to champion Mallorca’s native grapes with a fresh, thoughtful approach to winemaking that emphasizes the relationship between grape, soil and climate. Motor América is named in tribute to Francesc’s father, who worked in the automotive industry—a fitting name for a wine with plenty of energy and a whole lot of personality.
