Intense ruby red in color, the 2014 Chionetti Briccolero opens with an enticing bouquet of dried violets, freshly cut flowers, rose petal, sweet red berries and black plum, accented by mint, cinnamon and subtle almond and anise. The palate is medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, with flavors of black cherry, wild herbs and earthy mineral notes. Soft yet persistent tannins provide structure while fresh acidity carries the wine into a savory finish with hints of cocoa, graphite and dried thyme. A wonderfully expressive and contemplative Dolcetto that has developed lovely complexity with age.

Made from 100% Dolcetto grown in the organically certified Briccolero vineyard in Dogliani, this single-vineyard bottling showcases the variety’s remarkable ability to produce wines of both elegance and longevity.
