Domaine Ozil "Rochette" Blanc 2023

"Rochette" 2023 is white wine made from 100% Grenache Blanc from the Rhône Valley. Medium-light bodied, this layered wine begins with bright acidity and aromas of fresh lemon peel that evolve into a toasty palate with ripe peach and baking spice, and finishes with a hint of raw honey, minerality and subtle salinity. 

Domaine Ozil is certified organic by Bureau Veritas and practicing biodynamic. The grapes are hand-harvested and direct-pressed into neutral oak barrels, where it sits briefly before being bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfites. 

Brothers Jean Daniel & Thomas Ozil are the fourth generation winemakers of Domaine Ozil. Located in Ardéche (in the Rhône Valley), they began producing natural wines in 2013. Prior to that, they used to sell their organically farmed grapes to the local coop but as of 2018, all of their harvest now goes to their own wines. The brothers also grow peaches, olives, vegetables, and lavender, adding to the biodiversity on their estate.
