Field Recordings "About Time" Merlot 2022

This slightly lighter and refreshing diversion from the classic Bordeaux-style Merlot is silky and approachable, with a moderately dry finish and notes of blackberry and cassis. Dark black fruit and a medium plus body dominate the palate. Recommended pairing would be a rich and hearty mushroom barley stew.

This organic Merlot from Paso Robles got the white glove treatment from the Field Recordings team. Minimal pumpovers and processing to keep some nice fresh fruit flavors. All the things you want out of a daily drinking claret for your dining table. This wine spends five months in stainless steel, five months in neutral oak.
