Aromas of macerated strawberries, dark cherries and a trace of corn masa are a nice start. Then you get ripe red-raspberry and dark-chocolate flavors that go on forever. This is silky smooth stuff, with nicely integrated tannins. Full-bodied, structured and powerful on the palate.
Although this wine is sourced from top tier vineyards from all over “Lower Eastern” Washington, the fruit is declassified, making it one of Gramercy’s top values from one of the prestigious producers in Washington State. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc, from the Pepper Bridge, Phinny Hill, Gramercy Estate and Old Stones vineyards. Aged in French oak, 26% new.
