I Pentri "Flora" Falanghina Beneventano IGT 2022

Truly unique, exotic Falanghina from a very small family estate in the Campania region of Italy. Striking golden color in the glass with an aromatic nose of lime and grapefruit pith, apricots, honeydew melon, underbrush, ginger and mint. Very dry and full bodied for a Falanghina, with zesty acidity and tons of fruit upfront. Crisp apple, baked white peach, sweet pear, a hint of pineapple, notes of honey & volcanic minerality. Delightful saline finish.

I Pentri, a small winery run by a husband-and-wife duo, elevates Falanghina to rare heights. This amazing natural wine is beautifully farmed using biodynamic agricultural practices, native yeast fermentation with no added sulfur. Unfined before bottling. Simply put, this is breathtaking juice that makes you re-think southern Italian whites.

The 2022 vintage is delightful now, and its structure suggests it can age gracefully, developing more complexity over time.
