"Surì Vigin" is a pastel ruby red wine with a musky, elegant bouquet and hints of dried roses. On the palate, it is sweet, aromatic, fresh and slightly sparkling from natural fermentation, with flavors of strawberries and underwood fruits.

100% Brachetto from 35-year-old vines, hand-harvested and vinified with light pressing, quick maceration on the skins and early racking. Re-fermentation at controlled temperature and aged in stainless steel.

A low-alcohol (6.5%) dessert wine to be drunk after a meal, it pairs well with dry pastries and is excellent with strawberries and wild berries.

Icardi is in Castiglione Tinella, within the Province of Cuneo, between the Lower Langhe and the Monferrato Regions. Lino Icardi started the company in 1914, only producing wine for family use. In the 1960s, Mr. Pierino started selling his wine stating, “quality needs to be acknowledged and appreciated.”

Today Icardi still believes that wine production happens in the vineyard more than in the cellar, with deep respect for the cycle of the seasons and the rhythms of nature. They use no nitrogen fertilisers, instead allowing plants to naturally fix the nitrogen in the soil. They do not use herbicides or pesticides, improving the fertility of the soil through green manure.

The Icardi vineyards extend over 55 hectares, 50 of which are certified-organic vineyards. "Surì Vigin" is the vineyard named after an uncle of Claudio Icardi.
