Le Coeur de la Reine Crémant De Loire NV

This delightful Crémant offers lovely aromas of white peach, green apple, white flowers, almonds, brioche and honeysuckle with fine bubbles and a lively palate that lift the pear, citrus, quince and chamomile flavors.

Made from third each of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc grown on vines with an average age of 25 years and meticulously tended by the family. The vines are planted on the South bank of the Cher River, where the soil is a mix of clay and flint. The wine is made in the traditional method with a gentle pressing of hand-harvested grapes and vinification in stainless steel. Aged on the lees during secondary fermentation for at least 20 months.

Le Coeur de la Reine is a collaboration between Rodolphe & Ludivine Marteau and Vincent Leclair, both fourth-generation families in Touraine. The Marteaus took over their family’s estate in 2010, a 29 hectare property located on South bank of the river Cher. Vincent assumed leadership in 2014 at his family’s 45 hectare estate in Pouillé, in the Cher Valley.
