Limited Addition "Adante" Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc 2024
This distinctive Willamette Valley Sauvignon Blanc offers an expressive departure from the variety’s more familiar styles. Rather than overt green pepper and gooseberry, the nose and palate lean into exotic guava, creamy passionfruit and ripe citrus, layered with a subtle saline quality and vibrant acidity. Barrel fermentation and extended lees aging lend a generous, creamy texture while maintaining freshness and energy. Full-bodied and richly textured, this is a Sauvignon Blanc with both concentration and the structure to reward a little time in the cellar.
Sourced from organically farmed Andante Vineyard in Oregon’s Van Duzer Corridor AVA, this wine showcases the unique advantages of the Willamette Valley’s cool, sunlit growing conditions and Pacific Ocean influence. Thoughtful vineyard practices allow sunlight to reach the grape clusters, helping develop ripe tropical fruit character while tempering the herbaceous qualities often associated with Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was fermented with native yeasts in neutral French oak barrels and aged on its lees to build texture and complexity, with minimal intervention preserving the character of the fruit and vineyard.
Limited Addition Wines is the creative collaboration of Chad Stock, a classically trained winemaker with an experimental spirit, and Bree Stock, one of the few Masters of Wine in the United States. Together, they champion Oregon’s potential for diverse grape varieties, sustainable farming and thoughtful, minimal-intervention winemaking. Working with like-minded growers and exploring lesser-known varieties, the Stocks are helping expand the possibilities of Oregon wine while building a more sustainable and inclusive wine community.
