Pax Helios Chenin Blanc 2025

"Helios" Chenin is a complex, dynamic Chenin loaded with personality and character. Citrus peel, white and yellow flowers, crushed stones, mint, tangerine, lemon candy, oil and slate all soar from the glass. The palate is clean and rich, with a dry finish. Insanely beautiful.

The Pax Helios Chenin is sourced from 50% Lyman Ranch (Amador County), 33% Marine Terraces (Santa Cruz Mountains) and 17% Alder Springs Vineyard (Laytonville). After pressing it is aged eight months in a combination of Austrian & French oak 500L puncheons and stainless steel barrels.

This wine has been a revelation in terms of price to quality in recent years, and is a must try for anyone who loves Chenin but might be skeptical of anything coming from outside of the Loire Valley. It has the racy acidity and mineral depth you'll find from Anjou Chenin, with the texture and elegance of wines from Vouvray, all at a price point that makes it great for everyday drinking.
