Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry fruit, tobacco, spice, cedar and earthy notes all grace this understated, classy Sangiovese. Rodáno is a top source for classically made Chianti, but they also produce this superb "Super Tuscan" blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot, with no rough edges and impressive brightness and succulence. The certified organic "Super Tuscan" is fermented with native yeasts and low-intervention winemaking techniques, for a medium-bodied wine with smooth tannins, balanced acidity and a juicy lingering finish. Certainly an impressive and overachieving Tuscan red blend from one of Chianti's top traditional producers.
