Santomè Prosecco Extra Dry Treviso DOC NV
The classic Prosecco, fresh and soft. Spring blossoms in the glass. Intense and fruity with predominant orchard fruit. A floral component with a delicate hint of acacia flowers. Light, fresh and smooth with distinct harmonious acidity. Balanced, elegant and persistent.
Prosecco Doc Treviso is produced from the remaining 24 hectares in “Grave di Papadopoli”, an island formed by the river Piave, where an ideal soil enhances the main attributes of Prosecco: scent, freshness and balanced taste.
The Tenuta Santomè winemaking tradition was started by the current winemakers' grandfather, Antonio. Their father Armando took over in the 1970s, and his sons Alan & William followed suit, setting up the splendid Santomè wine farm, purchased in 1999. From February 2010, a further three hectares were incorporated, adjacent to the village of Collalto, in the heart of the designated Prosecco di Conegliano-Valdobbiadine DOCG zone. Altogether there are 75 hectares of vineyards and wine is made and sold in the new premises in Biancade (Treviso).
