Tenuta Buon Tempo "La Furba" Toscana Sangiovese IGT 2024
Deep ruby red. Intense and distinctive nose with notes of spices like black and white pepper. Dry, well-ballanced, lightly tannic and with attractive acidity.
"La Furba," which means “cunning” in Italian, is the latest addition to the Buon Tempo family. This particular cuvée arises from the desire not to wait for two years for the Rosso di Montalcino or five years for the Brunello before being able to taste the wines. Thus, a more accessible and fresh wine is born. Thanks to its terracotta amphora vinification, the wine matures more quickly than in wood and is suitable for youthful consumption. A limited-edition cuvée produced from only two amphorae.
Grapes farmed organically and harvested manually. Temperature-controlled vinification in a 10hl cocciopesto amphora, 10% whole bunches, and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Six months maceration on the skins in stainless steel. 1400 bottles produced.
Tenuta Buon Tempo embodies the result of an exciting encounter between a Swedish wine enthusiast and a fantastic terroir. This fortuitous union gives life to an estate that seeks to perpetuate the grand tradition of Montalcino wines by aiming for the highest possible quality.
