The Cannonau grape went by the Spanish name Cañonat in the 1500s, known today as Grenache in France and California. This expression shows sweet spice and dried fruit notes, with black currant and milled peppercorn accents. Juicy, with notes of violet, coffee, plum and ripe red fruit alongside mineral and earthy touches. Tannins are well integrated for a full-bodied yet elegant wine.

Tenuta Soletta is in Codrongianos, located in the province of Sassari on the island of Sardina. The winery is the work of Umberto Soletta, who has been cultivating the land with his father since he was five years old using traditional farming practices to maintain a perfect balance between human intervention and nature.

The vineyards are planted on sandy and chalky soil, the grapes are harvested manually, giving the right attention to both vines and grapes. After destemming and crushing, the must was macerated with the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 20 days. The wine was then aged on its lees for 24 months in oak barrels and rested for another year in the bottle before being released for sale.
