Terre del Vescovo "Kisteis" Campania Coda di Volpe 2020
Golden in color, unpretentious and easy-drinking. Savor its breezy aromatics: crisp stone fruit, lemon, wildflowers, and fresh-picked Mediterranean herbs. Crisp and upfront, deep yet lifted, refreshing, high acid, liquid stone, kiwi fruit and peach flavors, feathery and light, apple cider tones, and an austere finish.
Coda di Volpe, a variety named for the foxtail-like shape of its clusters, is the Campanians’ daily drinking white. If the local reds are dense and contemplative, Coda is quite the opposite. "Kisteis", pronounced “Kist è isso,” means “this is the one” in the regional dialect, which at the domaine means “this is the wine to drink during the summer on the Amalfi coast.”
Aged on fine lees for 2-3 months in stainless steel, no malolactic fermentation. Only 1,500 cases of red and white are made from the entire estate.
