Unico Zelo "Fresh A.F." Red Blend 2023

One of the most exciting wines Unico Zelo has crafted to date. They're intensely passionate about Nero d'Avola and its clear potential in the warm, sun-drenched spots of Australia. The insane water-efficiency of this variety coupled with no additions in the vineyard or winery displays the potential for this variety to craft succulent, juicy, aromatic and supremely refreshing wine. A touch of ancient vine Zibibbo lifts the aroma into supreme smashability. The result is a fresh, vibrant, thirst-quenching red. Super-juice mouth-feel and texture that picks up on the most confected of characters without a heady aroma or heavy weight holding it down. A more zippy expression of the grape variety, no doubt from the meter’s worth of iron-rich sand on limestone that emphasize these more fragrant and fleeting characters.

Unico Zelo is a certified sustainable and vegan winery out of Australia that takes great pride in reforestation and acknowledging the First Nations people on which their winery resides. They also utilize a farming practice called Fukuoka, which was established in Japan and requires no machines or chemicals.
