Vignobles Berthier "L’Instant" Pinot Noir 2022

L'Instant Rouge opens with spicy notes and is a bright, garnet-colored wine. It offers a typical nose with dark fruits. A velvety texture accompanies the freshness on entry to the palate. The combination of cherries, blackberries, and blueberries creates a harmonious wine that leads to an elegant finish where fruit and flavors blend perfectly.

L'Instant Rouge represents pleasure, youth, and a fruity character, resulting from the terroir of clay-limestone and the use of Pinot Noir grapes. The winemaking process involves alcoholic fermentation in tanks for 15-20 days, with daily must assembly to optimize color and tannin extraction. This is followed by aging in barrels for one year. This wine has a 3-5 years storage potential and can be briefly chilled to enhance its aromas.

Clement and Florian Berthier produce some of the most delicious, site-specific wines in the Centre-Loire from their own vines. They also craft a pair of delightful and affordable Vins de France using purchased organic fruit. This Pinot Noir is sourced from clay-limestone soils just south of Menetou-Salon. While it may not be the most complex example of Loire Pinot, it is undeniably delicious, showcasing pure, juicy red berry fruit, a hint of spice, and ample freshness.
