Chavost Blanc de Meunier Brut Nature Champagne
Brilliant pale gold in color with a delicate, foamy mousse, this distinctive Champagne opens with aromas of fresh orchard fruit, crushed blackberry and subtle floral notes accented by hints of pastry and sea breeze. The palate is crisp and lively with pear, red apple and delicate red berry flavors complemented by chalky minerality, bright acidity and a soft, creamy texture. Beautifully light on its feet yet nicely structured, it finishes long, smooth and bone-dry. A wonderful expression of Pinot Meunier that makes an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with seafood, cheeses and fresh fruit.
Made from 100% Pinot Meunier sourced from old vines on north-facing, limestone-rich slopes in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, the wine reflects the cool exposures and chalky soils that lend the variety its freshness and mineral precision. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled without dosage or added sulfur dioxide, it is crafted without fining or filtration to preserve the purity of the fruit and the distinctive character of its terroir.
Champagne Chavost is a small cooperative winery in the Vallée de la Marne, originally founded in 1946 by approximately 20 growers and now representing more than 100 multi-generational winegrowing families. Since taking the reins in 2019, young winemaker Fabian Daviaux has led an ambitious transformation of the estate, convincing its members to embrace organic farming and a radical commitment to additive-free winemaking. Across the range, the wines are made without added sulfites, dosage or commercial yeasts and enzymes, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak for themselves.
