Demarie Roero Arneis DOCG 2024
In the glass, Demarie Roero Arneis is brilliant, sunny and luminous, with pale straw yellow tones and greenish reflections. Its aroma is full, bold, and intense, yet at the same time layered and delicate. You’ll notice floral and fruity notes reminiscent of peach and apricot. In the mouth, dry, palatable and pleasantly harmonic. Fresh and persistent, with a slightly almond aftertaste.
A wine with character, just as its name suggests. In popular tradition, “arneis” refers to an extroverted, rebellious and original person -- qualities that this white from Roero embodies perfectly. Rediscovered thanks to the passion and determination of Roero winemakers, it has quickly earned its place among the great white wines of the world.
The soils from which it originates make it a true gem of Piedmontese winemaking: the sandy terrain enhances its aromatic intensity and richness, while limestone and clay provide structure and complexity.
The Demarie family has been producing wine in the heart of Piedmont for generations (stretching back to the late 1800s), with a deep commitment to the region’s rich winemaking traditions. Their estate vineyards, located in some of the most coveted areas of Langhe, are farmed organically and carefully managed to produce wines that reflect the terroir. Demarie’s approach combines modern winemaking techniques with respect for the traditional methods of the region. With a focus on quality and sustainability, Demarie crafts wines that express the true character of Piedmont.
