Little Trouble "Tiny Horse" Pinot Noir 2022

Tiny Horse Pinot Noir is only macerated for three days, giving it a glou-glou, porch-pounder style. Super light and translucent, but still packing a punch of flavor. Juicy and chillable, with notes of blood orange, rainier cherry, strawberry soda, white sage, salty watermelon rind and elementary school strawberry candies.

Grapes were foot-trodden upon arrival at the winery and fermented on skins in neutral vessel for three days, then pressed. Tranferred to neutral barrels for completion of fermentation and aging. Native yeast used for primary and secondary fermentation. Unfined, unfiltered. Just a kiss of dissolved CO2 added before bottling, which lends the tiniest touch of effervescence to the bottle, evoking cherry cola.

Little Trouble Wine Co. is the collaborative project of Jennifer Reichardt and Sara Morgenstern, who met in 2016 while working for a Sonoma Coast winemaker and grower. Built from a shared love of bright, fresh wines, low-intervention farming and transparent vineyard expression, the label became a reality in 2020 after Jen discovered Stampede Vineyard in Lodi. They source organic and sustainably farmed fruit, ferment with native yeasts, work in neutral vessels and bottle unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur.
