Materia Prima "Orange" 2024

A Spanish orange wine made with a base of the local Xarel-lo grape that was pressed and fermented on gewurztraminer skins. Xarelo-lo produces wines with intense aromas and flavors, notably earthy and herbal. Aromas of black tea, citrus and mineral. The palate continues with citrus flavors, green apple, melon and a soft mineral undertone. Enjoyable and easy to drink for anyone new to orange wine, and delicious for the orange wine lovers.

Materia Prima is a natural wine project from Parés Baltà, where all winemaking is done with minimal intervention. Brothers Joan and Josep Cusiné founded Material Prima Wines driven by their way of understanding and respecting nature, soil and plants. They say that to make excellent wine they only need the highest quality grapes, hence the name Materia Prima, which translate to "Raw Material."
