Pali Wine Company "Wild Series" Rosé of Pinot Noir 2022
Tightly wound aromas of rose petal, strawberry, melon and light stone show on the nose of this native-fermented rosé. The palate is quite stony, giving an edge to the strawberry and citrus pith flavors. The texture is soft, where the full fruit flavors dominate.
This 100% Rosé of Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown on Pali’s estate vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills and other vineyards in Santa Barbara County. It’s picked at low brix and pressed off after a few hours of skin contact to achieve the perfect salmon-pink color. This wine is fermented in stainless steel and then aged in a combination of neutral oak and stainless. This is a dry style rose with mouthwatering acidity that is typical of the region.
Pali Wine Co. produces premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay sourced primarily from vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills and neighboring wine-growing regions. The region’s terroir, including its transverse ranges, limestone rich soils, and cool ocean fog, is ideal for growing Pali’s poised Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wine grapes. Pali produces a wide-range of bottlings from entry-level to esoteric vineyard and clonal-specific, from still to sparkling, and from white to pink and red.
While most of thier grapes come from their Santa Rita Hills estate ‘Pali Vineyard,’ Pali partners with a handful of other family-owned and world-renowned vineyards in the area among the likes of Fiddlestix, Rancho La Viña and Bien Nacido Vineyards. Most recently, Pali has introduced its ‘Wild Series,’ natural wines made using only wild, naturally occurring yeasts that remain unfined and unfiltered.
