
Alta Marfa "First Rodeo" Texas White Wine 2023

A white blend of 50% Orange Muscat from Crooked Post Vineyards in the Texas High Plains AVA and 50% Zibibbo from Dell Valley Vineyards in Dell City, TX, located in the windswept foothills of the Guadalupe Mountains.
The Zibibbo was hand harvested, fermented on the skins for two weeks, then pressed. No punch downs. Aged in stainless steel for 11 months. The Orange Muscat was machine-picked and direct-pressed, then the juice was added to Zibibbo wine. Co-fermented to dry. Spontaneous fermentation. Aged in Stainless steel three months. Completed malolactic fermentation. Added 29ppm total SO2 at bottling. 78 cases produced.
Alta Marfa is a small winery in Marfa, Texas, making unique wines with grapes grown by wonderful farmers in Texas and New Mexico, as well as the winery's own grapes grown in the Texas Davis Mountains AVA.
