Cowhorn "Spiral" White Blend 2022

This blend of 43% Viognier, 40% Roussanne and 17% Marsanne begins with ripe butterscotch and lemon curd aromas along with notes of sage and daylilies. Flavors of kiwi and lime abound, with tiny bits of strawberry, peach fruit, leather and wet stones showing through. The texture gives breadth and suppleness through the mid-pallet and finishes with a thirst quenching vibration of acid and tannin. A touch of sweetness accompanies the mouthwatering acidity.

The Spiral is a thoughtfully arranged composition of Cowhorn estate’s white varieties, with a goal to provide the freshest example of each selection, together, with bright aromatics and a lively, refreshing acid-driven mouthfeel. Picked by hand along a continuum of ripeness, each variety and block is pressed, settled and fermented in barrel without yeast or any other additions. It is assembled and sulfured just before bottling.

All of Cowhorn’s wines are made with 100% estate-grown fruit from 25 planted acres, receiving more than 100 90+ scores over the years.
