Gilbert Cellars Unoaked Chardonnay 2022

A medium-bodied, highly aromatic Chardonnay with crisp acidity. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, with shorter time on lees make this a great surprise. The nose opens up with cantaloupe, watermelon, yellow apple and lemon meringue mixed with baking spices and herbs. The palate is light and crisp with good weight and viscosity, showing notes of apple, miso, eucalyptus, cucumber and lemon rind. As the wine opens, melon and floral characters dominate the nose.
