Two Shepherds "Soleil" Albariño 2023

Two Shepherd's second vintage of Albariño, inspired by the salty, fresh Albariño from Rías Baixas of Galicia in Spain. Named after the vintners' dog-like rescue goat, Soleil. Despite a rough start in life, Soleil is a jovial, carefree farm pet who brings joy to their hearts and makes them smile, just like this wine. Soleil's sunny disposition inspired this sunshine in a glass. Notes of honeydew, guava and kiwi. 100% Albariño, fermented and aged on heavy lees, 55% in neutral barrel, 45% in stainless barrels. Only 120 cases produced.

Two Shepherds focuses on Rhône and rare, uncommon varieties, often from the only few acres available in California. While their total production is small, the offerings are vast. Nicknamed “insane master of small lots,” winemaker William Allen crafts abotu 15 different wines each vintage, including some that are only 1-2 barrels. Their old-world style, free from manipulation, allows for the ture expression of the variety, vintage and vineyard.
