Clos Cibonne Tentations is the platonic ideal of Provençal Rosé. Bright, brilliant salmon pink. Aromas of white peach, wild strawberry, blood orange, rhubarb, light sweet cherry and delicate smoky notes on the nose. Refreshing and fruity on the palate, with a fine mouthfeel, gentle tannins and a subtly fruity-sweet core. It settles in like a blanket of fresh sea-air -- crisp, savory, floral, peachy and undeniably drinkable. On the finish, the indigenous Tibouren grape variety lends an elegantly tart and savoury accent. A day in Provence.

As the necogiant label of the historic Clos Cibonne, Tentations is crafted with young vine fruit hand-harvested from the certified organic estate, augmented with a family friend's organic vineyard in the La Londe subzone to offer a classic example of Côtes de Provence Rosé. A blend of the typical local varieties Grenache (50%), Cinsault (20%), Syrah (15%) and Tibouren (15%) fermented with native yeast, this is an excellent introduction to the region and a great example of why this style of Rosé is one of, if not the most, popular each year.

All vinification is done entirely in-house by the experienced hands of Olivier Deforges. Tentations is focused on the expression of fresh fruit through its exclusive stainless steel aging, therefore it does not undergo the extensive barrel aging process of the traditional Clos Cibonne range. In addition to now being certified organic, the new vintage also sports an updated label, with a classic watercolor depiction of the winery and Provençal landscape.

Clos Cibonne is an historic, cult-status winery in Provence, France, famous for producing age-worthy rosé wines using the rare Tibouren grape, and holding an official Cru Classé designation of excellence. It was founded in the late 18th century by Jean-Baptiste de Cibon, a captain in Louis XVI’s Royal Navy, and acquired by the Roux Family in 1793.
