Rich and flavorful, this Rhone red has a beautiful deep red color with purple reflections and a clear and bright character. The expressive nose offers a delightful blend of black fruit and sweet spices (nutmeg, cinnamon), with a hint of sweet blackberry jelly and a touch of caramel and vanilla. The attack on the palate is supple and round with very present and fine tannins, a bundle of spice, black pepper and brown sugar underpinned by great berry and plum fruit flavors. The licorice and spice character intensifies at the long, very balanced finish. A divine indulgence for any occasion.

A true GSM blend, with 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre. Domaine de l’ Espigouette is run by Bernard Latour, his wife, and two sons, Julian and Emilie. The wine is named for their grandfather, Edmond Latour. It is an organically grown vineyard that has been family run for four generations, and is located in the Rhone Valley of France. The diversity of the soil allows for complexity to the different wines of this area, the hills provide rich, bold wines, while sandy, clay soils provide elegance, finesse and depth. The vines have an average age of 45 years old. The family works in the vineyards and selects the grapes for maximum ripeness and concentration.
